My track record as a producer and project manager spans complex international co-productions, site-specific new work, ambitious citywide engagement projects and award winning Edinburgh festival and touring shows. All delivered through senior management roles, in a freelance capacity or through my own company. Much of the work I’ve been attached to has a place, new writing and equalities agenda.
Recent experience includes:
National Theatre of Scotland (Head of Producing), leading on the delivery of producing the organisation’s ambitious artistic programme and managing the producing team.
Aberdeen Performing Arts (Head of Production and Technical / Head of Artistic Development), leading on developing, commissioning and producing new work and creative projects in Aberdeen and north east Scotland. And managing the organisation’s technical teams across three city centre venues.

Granite Noir audience member
I produced Granite Noir – Aberdeen’s crime writing festival – for three years, building the festival from scratch and establishing it as one of the UK’s foremost crime fiction and literature festivals. Granite Noir commissioned new work as well as programmed author lead and other events, exhibitions and noir related theatre. The festival is a partnership between a number of cultural and heritage organistions in Aberdeen.
Stepping Out / Stepping In
From March 2016 to December 2018, Aberdeen’s historic Music Hall underwent a £9m capital redevelopment. Attached to the building’s closure and subsequent re-opening was an ambitious, large scale award-winning programme of work. Stepping Out / Stepping In combined multiple performances, community projects, a complex Associate Artist programme working with both established and emerging talent, site specific performances, a heritage interpretation programme and numerous new artistic commissions.
I’ve run producer training sessions with the students of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, undertaken the long term mentoring of emerging producers through Creative Scotland’s Producers’ Project and run producing workshops.
I hold a full clean driving license. I am first aid trained, have undertaken IOSH Health & Safety training and Child Protection training with the NSPCC.
